Lenten Practice - A Photo A Day Reflection
Day 2 - March 6It was -22 C. when we got up this morning - and with the six feet of snow that surrounds the house and the continuing frigid temperatures it feels like this winter is going to last a long while yet. But it is March and the thaw is slowly coming - by 11:30 am there are dripping icicles and the sun is removing some of the snow from our shoveled pathways. Slowly but surely we are emerging from the frozen place we live. Slowly but surely the thaw is happening. What do I need to thaw in myself and this slow spring starts to emerge? What is still frozen within that is reaching out to the warming rays of the sun?
Psalm 37: 3-4 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
